December catch up

Well what a December so far, very poor weather, I like it frosty and the early morning sun, fingers crossed January will be better.

Well what have I seen over this past month or so, not a lot really, Captain's pool has been very quiet, have seen a lone swan and a Gooseander, the Kingfisher has been very active but still to get a decent shot.
A few pheasants about, also seen a couple of Goldcrests near Captain's, a yellowhammer, few chaffinches, couple of nuthatches, greater spotted woodpecker and several jays.

On the 16th November a pair of Stonechats appeared by the College up Heath Lane, but they were gone by next morning.

Down by the 3 Pools, used in the Kidderminster Shuttle and several times on BBC weather.

Arrived at Captain's just in time to see this lone swan leaving.

Am spending a lot of time on the duller days visiting churches, I am heavily into family history and hunting for graves of my ancestors, you can see my blog about this at
