Two days around the fields on Spennells, weather has been superb, birds are tough to spot at the moment with all this lovely foliage so been concentrating on much smaller wildlife.
This one is a robberfly.
Lily Beetle
Hawthorn Shield bug
Scorpion fly
Male beautiful demoiselle damselfly
Female of the above species
And here are a pair of them
Sawfly
Some of the fields are filled with beautiful poppies at the moment, such an amazing sight.
Will be back again a few times over the next week as I think these fields can only get more colourful.
I have also been depositing painted rocks here and there, have got quite a few more ready to go out but them am knocking the rocks on the head, as I am pretty sure some are ending up in someone's garden which really isn't in the spirit of rock painting.
I keep getting the urge to do some proper painting again, have a few blank canvases in the garage so watch this space................
And one from Norfolk, not the best photo I have ever taken but as it is a Bittern I thought I would show it.
We had heard the bittern booming several times but when it flew past us both me and the wife were stunned, we got such a close up view and by the time I had got the camera turned on it had almost gone out of sight.
