Saturday 16th March
Windy windy start, walkabout for hour and a half but not a lot about, am sure the birds don't like this wind.
Highlight of the morning was spotting a couple of nuthatches working on a nest hole, sorry about the pics as the light was awful, am hopeful I will get much better, also think I may have spotted a treecreeper nest.
Saw treecreepers, lots of robins and blackbirds, couple of wrens.
GC Grebes still not getting together, male still crying out for her.
keeping guard.
Working on the nest
Friday 15th March
Dull and wet start and I didn't get out till mid afternoon.
Usual scenario around the reserves, didn't mange to walk the fields today.
Grebes still on the pool but still not together yet.
Jays, nuthatches and treecreepers in Pirates Wood, hopefully it will improve when the wind finally decides to do one!

Thursday 14th March
Windy as a windy day again, general walkabout today over the area and nothing much to be seen, few buzzards about, small flock of birds up by Edna's Grave, lots and lots of pigeons about though.
Captain's Pool still very quiet, the two GC Grebes are still there, but nothing doing for the courtship dance yet, not even getting within a few yards of each other yet,
Think the birds must also be getting fed up with all the Brexit rubbish, I don't usually say much about politics but have to say now that Britain must now be the laughing stock of the world.
