A cold but sunny morning, I ventured out nicely wrapped up, Captain's was quiet apart from a solitary Great Crested Grebe and the usual mass of Mallards.
A stroll up Ghost lane where I spotted a couple of Jays flying into Pirates Wood, also a couple of Goldcrests in the same vicinity, walking up the lane I saw three pheasants in the field.
In a field opposite the College I saw what was most probably a thrush, but could well have been a Merlin, but my ID skills are not the best, also saw a lone buzzard high in the sky in the same area.
Not much more wildlife on the way up to Shenstone but I did spot a lone Muntjac on my way back along Stanklyn Lane.
On way down to Stankly

Pirates wood looking autumnal
Overall a lovely autumnal walk, great to see the sunshine bringing out
all these lovely nature's colours.
Today as I write this blog it is very cold and raining pretty steady.
