Tuesday March 3rd
Cold and dullish morning, brightened up on the afternoon, walkabout didn't turn up much apart from seeing the two Great Crested Grebes together, they have already started work on a nest, which is great news.
Down Stanklyn on the afternoon with Jason, saw 3 Stonechats, 4 buzzards, 2 Goldfinch, 1 pied wagtail, 2 meadoww pipits, plus the usual Dunnocks, wrens and robins.
Great Crested Grebes looking happy together.
Very long distant shot of a buzzard.
Friday 6th February
Cold frosty morning, an enjoyable walkabout, saw a Muntjac in one of the reserves, jays making there usual noise.
Great Crested Grebes fishing and gathering their nesting material.
Had a walk around Stourport basin, still very muddy in places from the floods, pleased to see a kingfisher and a grey wagtail.
