Spawning time

Tuesday 8th May
After record breaking temperatures yesterday it was a little fresher this morning, was up at Captain's Pool before 7, grebes way too far out for any decent shots, but the noise from the carp in the margins was amazing, must be spawning.

The swallows were doing some lovely aerobatics this morning, occasionally they took a short break.

No idea what these are but lots of them down by the three pools today.

Seed head on grass.

Bluebells looking good down the front of the estate.

My latest rock creation.

Wednesday May 9th.

A stroll around the fields, produced this Brown Silverline Moth.

Also a yellowhammer having a rest, lots of swallows about today.

As it's grand children day not a lot of time getting out and about, had a wander by Captain's Pool tonight, lots of fish splashing around and swallows dipping, only saw one grebe chick, hope the other two are okay.
Also 2 mandarins present but being a long way out and very poor light no decent images.

And to finish off here are a few more rocks that will be going out over the next week or so.
