Friday 1st February
Much the same as yesterday, still got my cold so didn't venture as far as I would have liked to, Captain's was much the same as usual apart from a couple of young Herring Gulls which like the rest of the wildlife there was slipping around on the ice, couple of places were un-frozen but mostly solid ice.
So now back in the warm and working on the final version of my map.

Thursday 31st Jan
The last day of January already, a good solid frost to start the day and a bit of watery sun, but the sun didn't last that long.
Started with a walk up the pool, apart from a Cygnet there was nothing unusual about, the heron was on the terrapin's log as usual and nearly everything else was all huddled together.
The fields were also quiet, had a walk along Stanklyn Lane and up Heath Lane but also very quiet and not being able to feel my toes from the cold I called it a day, will see what it's like later.
