Creepers

Thursday 21st Feb

Quick walk up as far as Captain's early on, just the usuals plus 2 Gooseanders.
Managed to get out for a walkabout after lunch and what a lovely afternoon it was, 4 Gooseanders now on the pool but sadly still no GC Grebe.
Over the fields there were Pied Wagtails and Chaffinch scouring the freshly ploughed soil.
The National Grid were working high up on a pylon, rather them than me.
Saw a fair few buzzards but not near enough for any decent photos.
Sparrowhawk was hunting over the Dead Man's Allotment, but pretty sure the stonechat has moved on.
Stopped to chat so many times so might have missed many other birds.
Great to see the fox again, wasn't easy to spot though.
Hoping for a nice day tomorrow as I have a few walkabouts planned, little work in the garden first and then back to normal.

Wednesday Feb 20th

Dull and raining early on, but as we have the Grand-children all day today I popped out early to see what was about, no sign of the GC Grebe but there were 6 Gooseanders fishing.
Managed to get a record shot of a treecreeper in the reserve.

Took the grand daughters for a walk just after lunch, almost straight away I spotted a red Kite flying quite low over Captain's in the Direction of Droitwich, two sightings of a sparrowhawk, sods law I didn't have camera as it landed for a few seconds not far away. No sign of Gooseanders or the Grebe on this visit.
Couple of Buzzards and lots of crows over the newly ploughed carrot field.
