Very dull first thing at Captain's and not much about, couldn't stay long but got back out late morning, by then a Gooseander had popped in but nothing else.
The pool is completely thawed now, but with the biting wind I didn't hang around, I think it was colder this morning than those days when we had the frosts.
Over the fields were loads Chaffinch, some Linnets, Buzzards flying over the Carrot field, a walk up Heath Lane and I saw more Buzzards, lots of crows and possibly others amongst them, Clee Hill was a lot more visible than yesterday.
Saw a few Fieldfare along Stanklyn Lane, spotted 7 Cormorants flying overhead, several Wrens in the Dead Man's Paddock, another Buzzard down the Stone end of the Lane.
Was glad to get back home and get my hands round a nice hot cup of coffee.
Popped back down to the Dead Man's Allotment mid afternoon, saw quite a few Meadow Pipits, a few buzzards, 1 female Stonechat, 1 Green Woodpecker and a Sparrowhawk.
Hope it will be dry tomorrow as I am not going to have much time to get out and about at the weekend, got few big jobs to do which I have been putting off for a while, but normal service will be resumed come Monday
Mainly Crows (Ithink) Heath Lane
Titterstone Clee Hill from top of Heath Lane

Never got out this morning till late on, was quite bright first thing but by the time I managed to get out it had gone quite foggy.
Captains was again very quiet, still nice up there but would love something different to drop in.
Heard the GS Woodpecker drumming but never spotted him.

There were lots of Fieldfare down Stanklyn, guessing around 30+ in the one tree by the Dead Man's allotment.
Was nice to see a blackcap in the garden after lunch, by time I got the camera he had gone and then a wren came along closely followed by a bullying Robin..
