Wednesday Feb 13th
Not the best of days for photography, had a walk up to Captain's but that was pretty quiet apart from 6 Gooseanders up the far end of the pool, wandered over the fields where there was a small flock of Linnets, no sign of the Stonechat though down Stanklyn.
On the way back I spotted couple of Bramblings at Edna's Grave along with lots of Goldfinches and Chaffinch.
I wandered back down to nature reserve, spotted a few treecreepers again, got some photos but they were a tad too far away, only stayed for half hour as we had the School run for the grand children coming up.

Thursday 14th February
Bright day almost like Spring except for the early chill factor, couldn't get out till late morning so off I set looking to get a better shot of the treecreeper, but sadly didn't spot one today.
I spotted this beautiful young fox though on my walkabout, he sat for a few seconds until he spotted me and off he went.
Spotted Coal tits and wrens, also a couple of jays and lots of magpies.
Lots of Squirrels about today enjoying the sunshine.
Popped down Stanklyn Lane late afternoon, didn't spot the Stonechat though, probably left the area, but I did spot something small flitting around the small fruit trees in the Dead Man's Allotment for at least half hour and then went further away, just too far away for me to see what it was, must start taking the bins with me.
Quite a few Redwings in the Heath Lane Paddock.
Couple buzzards in the distant trees and quite a few meadow Pipits about.
Young fox
After lunch I was up at Captain's and spotted 4 Gooseanders up the far end of the pool.
One Cygnet and one Cormorant fishing all over the pool, there was a heron at the top of a tree on the island and all the other usual suspects.
