Well I did intend getting out really early, but our thermometer outside said -10 so I went back to bed!
A stroll up the pool before breakfast and boy it was really cold by the water, about 10 Herring Gulls were walking around on the ice and a lone heron, plus all the usuals.
After breakfast I popped up Ghost Lane and down to Stanklyn Lane, saw a buzzard take off from Edna's Grave, the stump area was really busy with all sorts of small birds.
Stanklyn itself was pretty quiet, the Dead Man's Allotment lived up to it's name apart from a little wren hopping around.
Did spot something small up by the fruit trees but think it may have been a robin.
Few Bird watchers walking around in the Lane.
On way back home I stopped off at Captain's again, only 3 herring gulls there now and the heron was high up in a tree down the far end.
In the reserve close to Captains were couple chaffinch, long tail tits and about 6 small birds which I got a brief glimpse of which I think were Wagtails.
The nature reserve was very quiet also so I called it a day and went back home and safely in the warm and proceeded to warm up my toes.
